About the Corps of Cadets

PDFPrintE-mail

The Corps of Cadets is an organization dedicated to developing well educated leaders of character, prepared to provide values based leadership and service in the public and private sectors.  Cadets pride themselves on being men and women of character, honor, and integrity, who are committed to serving others.  They live by the Aggie Code of Honor, and have respect for their fellow man – regarding their dignity, worth, and individuality.

Through a structured environment, the Corps builds character necessary to lead others.  By overcoming challenges and persevering despite adversity, cadets will acquire valuable experience that will assist them in every aspect of their lives.  About forty-two percent of the cadets in the Corps receive a commission in the United States Armed Forces upon graduation from Texas A&M.  Cadets who do not wish to commission opt to take leadership classes throughout their junior and senior years in the Corps, eventually receiving a certificate in leadership along with their diploma.
